Primary School is
a Kent County Council Primary school
situated in Shalmsford Street and
accommodates over 270 pupils from
age 4 to 11.
Set in six acres of grounds and with excellent
facilities the school takes
pupils from a wide catchment area including
Chartham Hatch where children are
transported by bus. The school has close
links with the Firs Nursery and the school
also runs a thriving After School Club
five days a week.

Firs
Nursery, a school run nursery
with qualified staff, is also situated
at the Primary School. It takes children
from two and a half years to school
age during term time and operates
two sessions a day - 9.00 am to 12
noon and 12.15 pm to 3.15 pm Monday
to Friday. It also has a special “Fours” day
on Thursdays for four year old children
to have pre school sessions on their
own.
